COVID-19 Response and Info: DCRHS continues to monitor updates from the Center for Disease Control and local public health agencies.  Our building is open, by appointment.  The 2020-21 school year will begin with 100% remote learning for all students.  This will continue to be assessed and we will return to on-site as soon as it is deemed safe to do so. We will keep you informed as plans change.     If you have any questions or concerns about Distance Learning please contact our Principal, Kevin Cumming, at kcumming@detroitcristorey.org     We will continue to provide a food service program for all students.  A hot lunch and cold breakfast can be picked up daily, M-F, from 11:30am-1pm.  Please contact Ms. Amber Powell, Food Service Manager, with any questions at apowell@detroitcristorey.org.  Prospective families - we are now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year! Please go to Admissions page "How-to-Apply" to learn about our admissions process.  Thank you for your patience and collaboration during these uncertain times. Stay safe and healthy!

Bus Service

Transportation in the Motor City
Transportation is an issue for many of our families. To address this issue we provide free buses that pick up and drop off students to and from school on both the Eastside and Westside of Detroit.

*All bus riders must answer the DCR screening questions before getting on the bus. In order to keep everyone safe, we ask that anyone that currently has COVID symptoms or who has been in close contact with someone who likely has COVID within the past 14 days stay home or seek medical attention.

Westside Bus
We pick up students at 6:40am in the parking lot at 17500 James Cousins Freeway near Outer Drive Lutheran Church at the corner of Outer Drive and James Couzens beginning the last week of summer training (when all of the students come back to school). Please ensure that your child arrives no later than 6:55AM. The bus will depart promptly at 7AM in order to get students to school on time. The drivers depart at 7AM sharp! We will not turn around to pick up stragglers if you arrive late so PLEASE be on time. Please plan on meeting the bus when it at the end of the day. If our drivers wait more than 10 minutes on a recurring basis for your child to be picked up the child may be prohibited from riding the bus. Please be considerate of the driver’s time and our free service to you. If you have questions please call Reuben Metreger at 313-670-3876.
